Dough
- 3 ½ Cups of Flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- ½ tsp of salt
The dry ingredients should be mixed in a bowl before adding the wet ingredients.
- Two teaspoons of dry yeast
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 cup of warm milk
The wet ingredients should be separately mixed in a bowl and then added to the dry ingredients.
- 70g of melted or room-temperature butter
The dough should rest for approximately an hour and another 30 minutes after cutting the pieces.
Filling
- ½ cup of sugar
- 4 teaspoons of cinnamon powder
- 4 tablespoons of butter (room temperature)
the butter/sugar mixture is folded with a spatula to create a smooth consistency.
The dough is then rolled on a countertop, and the butter/sugar mixture is spread. The dough is rolled and cut into the desired size. Lastly, bake the cinnamon rolls for approximately 25 minutes.
Drizzle
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 40g of cream cheese
- 4 Tablespoons of milk
Note: cold cheese doesn’t get easily missed, thus lumps are formed. To prevent this from happening, use room-temperature cheese.
