Dough:

  • 1 cup of warm milk
  •  ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 tbsp of yeast

Mix the mixture and leave for around five minutes for the yeast to activate.

  • 1 egg
  • ¼ tsp of vanilla
  • ¼ cup of water
  • ¼ cup of butter

Add those to the milk mixture, and in a separate bowl, add:

  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 cups of flour

Add the dry ingredients gradually into the wet ingredients and knit until the dough holds in shape. The dough should rest for at least an hour.

 Filling:

  • ½ cup of butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 tsp of cinnamon powder

The dough should be rolled on a countertop into a thin rectangle, and then the filling should be equally spread on the surface area. Then the dough should be rolled and cut into the preferred pieces. Before baking, let the dough rest for about 30 minutes in a greased pan. Bake for around 20 minutes or until golden.

Drizzle:

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • A splash of milk
